Dr. Ahmed Al Hatrooshi is the Technical Director - Energy Transition for Mott MacDonald's Middle East group, based in Oman. His background is chemical and process engineering with Ph.D. in Renewable Energy from Newcastle University, UK.
He serves as the Project Manager for Green Hydrogen and energy transition Cluster Feasibility Study as part of his role in the HY-FLY ( national Hydrogen alliance ).
He managed the development of the decarbonisation portfolio for Oman LNG including solar power generation, Battery energy storage system, flare gas recovery as well as delivering several R&D projects in the area of carbon capture utilisation and storage, low carbon fuels production and methanation processes.
He has international experience in the oil and gas industry, working with renowned clients such as ExxonMobil, Shell, and Chevron in six countries in addition to experience working in Ammonia and Urea plant (OMIFCO).
He possesses strong technoeconomic acumen, complemented by his expertise in business development and project management. His passion for new energies and innovation in the field is evident, driving his dedication to advancing sustainable solutions and fostering progress in the new energies sector
