Yasser Taqi is a partner in the Energy, Transport and Infrastructure practice in Dentons’ Muscat office, having previously worked in the firm’s London and Dubai offices. Yasser has over 10 years’ experience working on a wide range of projects across the GCC. He is experienced across a range of different sectors with a focus on projects, energy and renewables.

Yasser is an acknowledged expert on Oman regulatory reform and project investment issues. He has advised numerous international and local project investors in power, water and petrochemicals projects. He has contributed to Dentons advice to the Authority for Public Services Regulation on the development of the SAHIM solar PV rooftop regulations and the Oman Power and Water Procurement Company on the development of the region’s first ever spot market for the trading of electricity structure and rules. Yasser has also worked on several regulatory matters in Saudi Arabia which helps with regional benchmarking.

Yasser was also recognised by NTI as Business Professional of the Year 2019 and 2020 and is ranked in Chambers and Legal 500. He sits as a non-executive Director on the board of Outward Bound Oman, a not-for profit organisation focused on the development of Oman’s youth capital.
