Mr. Patrik Farkas Profile

Mr. Patrik is Market Development Manager at Wärtsilä. He is based in Dubai and covers the Middle East region.

Mr. Farkas joined Wärtsilä’s Energy Business division in 2018 to help accelerate the company’s market development activities. He is responsible for providing strategic insights on the Middle Eastern energy sector and for analytics-based value proposition development.

Mr. Farkas started his professional career at Central-Eastern European Gas Exchange where he was focusing on market operation. In 2014, he joined energy research and consulting firm Douglas- Westwood in Houston, Texas to work on O&G transactions. Prior joining Wartsila, Mr. Farkas was working for MVM Group to prepare the company’s gas trading branch enter the global LNG market.

Mr. Farkas graduated from Budapest University of Technology and Economics, he holds master’s degrees in Energy Engineering and Business and Management.
