Biography
Mr. Kenichiro Kitamura joined JBIC in 2003 and advanced his career mainly in project financing towards infrastructure projects, notably IPP and IWPPs in MENA region. He successfully concludes PF loans to Facility D IWPP project in Qatar and Safi IPP in Morocco. He also led a team to structure a PF loan to Ras Ghareb IPP in Egypt. Other projects he engaged include Az-zour North 1 IWPP in Kuwait and Al Ghubrah IWP in Oman.
Prior to joining Dubai Representative Office, he was Director of New Energy and Power Finance Dept.Ⅰand was responsible for asset management of JBIC’s PF loans to IPP/IWPPs, covering more than 40 projects globally, about half of those projects located in MENA region such as Fujairah F3 IPP and Sharjah Hamriyah IPP in UAE.
Building up on his career in project finance, he currently serves as Adjunct Professor at Graduate School of Management, Kyoto University, teaching infrastructure finance.
He earned Master of Business Administration from London Business School and Bachelor of Laws from KEIO University.
