Mr. Jeffrey Beyer​​’s Profile

Jeffrey is an international climate change specialist who works with governments and the private sector to accelerate the transition to a low carbon economy. He is the Managing Director of Zest Associates, a UAE-based sustainability consultancy focused on cleantech innovation, green finance, and sustainability strategy. Jeffrey led a landmark study on clean hydrogen collaboration opportunities outlining priorities across policy, innovation, trade and investment to accelerate the industry in the UAE and UK.

He authored a key report on mobilizing green finance in eight Middle East countries, and oversaw a major global initiative assessing the environmental impact of $17.2 trillion of COVID-19 stimulus spending. Jeffrey was instrumental in establishing the UK’s first cleantech Venture Capital fund for low carbon entrepreneurs as a £40-million public-private partnership, and has launched innovation programs for utilities, development banks and national renewable energy Centers of Excellence.

He holds a BA Economics & Psychology from Carleton University in Canada and an MSc Environmental Change & Management Oxford University.
